Why Facebook Social Plug-ins Are Important For Your Blog?

Facebook is one of the web’s most powerful websites. And a huge percentage of web users are using Facebook. And recently, Facebook Developers released its own social media plug-ins for websites and blog. So, why Facebook Social Plug-ins are important for your blog?

Just like what I said earlier, Facebook has an enormous number of users. And by adding or putting Facebook’s social media integration or plug-ins in your blog means your bringing those millions and millions of Facebook users to your blog. Just like the Like button. It is a simple button that can be put below of your blog, or in your every blog post. And once a reader (and a Facebook user) “Liked” your blog post, that activity will automatically be published in that user’s wall, giving your blog post an exposure to the world of Facebook. 3 Simple Ways to Get Noticed in the Blogosphere

In blogging, it is really hard to get noticed and become famous. You need to do this, you need to  do that. And all your hard work is not worth it if you don’t have any readers who visit and read your blog posts. This is one of the many problems that a beginner blogger faces in his first weeks in blogging.
There are many ways to get noticed in blogosphere. But some of these ways may cause you some money or cause you a lot of time and effort. But I know three simple ways that can help you get noticed and I want it to share with you.
Here’s the 3 Simple Ways to Get Noticed in the Blogosphere:
  1. Learn the Concept of Leaving Comments on other blogs. Putting or leaving comments on blog posts that you recently read is very important. I published a blog post about it answering the question, Why Leaving Comments to Other Blogs is Important?
  2. Use the Power of Social Media. Social Media is very powerful. And you can use this power to promote your blog. When I was on my first stages in blogging, I noticed that most of the visitors that came to my blog were from social networking sites. So what I did is, every time I finished publishing a new blog post, I immediately post the links too on different social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and Plurk. Continue reading →

Why Social Media is Important for Your Business?

Social Media has changed the world. It turned the web to its next level. It changed the way we live, just like when mobile phones invaded our lives. Before, almost every human being has his own mobile phone. And this made business marketers think of a marketing strategy focused on mobile technology. Like in mobile phone carriers, they send advertisements (but they refer it as trivia messages or info messages) to their subscribers. And this marketing strategy has been successful. If the mobile phones invaded our lives successfully, and used it as a good marketing strategy, then social media has bigger potential to be one of the best place for your business.

Why Social Media is Important for Your Business?

  1. Popularity Boost.Social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter are all over the world. Millions and millions of people use these networking sites for communication purposes, to find new friends or simply just for fun. And most of these users visit social networking sites everyday and even every hour. Yes, many people are addicted to social media. And this only means that if you expose your business to social media sites, your business’s popularity would boost significantly.
  2. Customers. Social media is a very good place to attract possible customers for your business because there are so many users on it everyday. If you tried to promote your site on Facebook, expect possible customers coming over you. And it is also possible to target specific customers, like male of female, young or adult. 10 Signs of Social Media Addiction

10 Signs of Social Media Addiction - Bend the Web

Last April 4, I published a blog post here about social media addiction. In that post, I asked you if you’re addicted to social media. I also talked about the positive and negative effects of this addiction. And if you still don’t know if you’re addicted to social media, we may help you to answer that.

Here are the 10 Signs of Social Media Addiction:

1. It’s meal time but you’re still in front of Facebook.

2. You don’t want to sleep yet even it’s already 2:00 am because you’re still playing Mafia Wars and FarmVille.

3. You love having many friends in Facebook and followers in Twitter instead if having more friends in real life.

4. You want to chat with your friends via social networking sites or IM services than just visiting them on their houses.

5. You want to adopt a pet not for your home but for your Pet Society or PetVille game.

6. You twittered your accomplishments (like you passed an exam or you got a job) long before your friends and family found out.

7. You know the headlines of your friends’ status updates but not the headlines of TV news.

8. You talk comfortably to people in your chat list even you don’t really know them.

9. In real conversations, you started saying acronyms like L-O-L and O-M-G instead of just laughing out load and saying “Oh my gosh”.

10. Your goal this summer vacation is to have a lot of friends and followers instead of having instead of having quality time with your real friends and family.

Now, ask yourself. Are you addicted to social media?

Facebook Will Soon Use Your Web History Just Like What Google Did

Facebook Privacy Issue

Reports said that Facebook would improve their Facebook Ads by using our web activity. What does it mean? In Google, they used their “Web History” feature which tracks our web activity to improve the relevance of search results that we are searching for through their search engine. For example, if we frequently browse tech blogs, Google would put priority on those tech blogs when we searched something related to it through their search engine. And this is what Facebook wants to do to improve their own advertising program, Facebook Ads.

Facebook will use our web activity to increase the relevance of the ads that appear when we browse their social networking site. But unlike Google, Facebook will use our web activity in a new way. They will use “sharing buttons” (the icons you frequently see in various blogs and websites). Sharing buttons are buttons which you can use to share the content you just read or watched to your Facebook friends. And these sharing buttons will be distributed by Facebook to interested blogs and sites.
